행정중심복합도시 향토유물박물관 설계공모

The site of the project is located on the middle of Gowoon mountain, in Sejong City. It is important to connect the promenade and parks of the mountain to the site each other in this competition. We ideally try to hybridize architecture, urban context and landscape together. According to this main idea, we design simple mass that looks like a mountain with contoured rooftop park, and the atrium, core space of this museum, makes people to reach to the rooftop as well as inside of the museum. In terms of the design, we split the mass into three, so that it alleviates overwhelmed scale, and then we make some diagonal facade, which would be harmonized with the mountain’s ridge. The core space, atrium, has continuous ramps from ground level to rooftop level, in which people can go up and down as an architectural experiences like Le Corbusier’s architectural promenade. Our design intent is to propose a combination among architectural space, urban context and landscape on the site, which would be a platform to be integrated in one museum space.
사이트는 세종시 고운산의 중턱에 위치해 있었다. 산에 있는 공원, 산책길과 뮤지엄이 어떻게 연계되는지가 현상설계 지침에서 가장 중요했다. 우리는 건축과 도시 컨텍스트, 랜드스케이프를 융합하는 아이디어를 시도하였다. 단순한 매스 구성과 산과 닮은 등고선형의 하늘공원, 그리고 하늘공원과 뮤지엄 내부를 연결시키는 아트리움을 디자인하여 고운산에서 돋보이지 않고 자연스럽게 사이트와 조화하도록 의도하였다. 또한 매스를 세 개로 분리하여 큰 건물의 위압감을 경감시켰고 산의 능선을 따라 입면에 변화를 만들면서 자연과 인공의 공간이 하나가 되도록 하였다. 1층에는 필로티로 구성된 효율적인 주차장, 뮤지엄 로비, 산책로와 연계된 개방형 카페로 구성하였다. 중심공간이 되는 아트리움에는 르 꼬르뷔지에의 건축적 산책로의 개념처럼 뮤지엄의 모든 층을 자연스럽게 오르내릴 수 있도록 램프로 구성하였고 뮤지엄 내외부 공간의 경계를 모호하게 하였다. 우리의 디자인은 건축 공간과 도시, 랜드스케이프가 하나로 어우러질 수 있는 플랫폼으로써의 뮤지엄을 제안하였다.
