Based on the architectural history and theory, architect Yongmin Lee authored ‘Reading Architecture in New York City‘. Through his direct exploration and research, he highlighed thirty major architectures in New York City from modernism to contemporary architecture analyzing in terms of historical, aesthetical, architectural and urbanism aspects. Divided this book into four chapers that we commonly experience – cultural, residential, commercial and educational architecture, he reinterprets the value of the space, architect, architecture and the city today, through this discourse.
뉴욕에 대해 연구하고 있는 건축가 이용민이 건축 역사와 이론에 대한 연구를 기반으로 ‘뉴욕 건축을 걷다’ 책을 출간하였다. 뉴욕의 주요 현대 건축물에 대한 그의 직접 답사 및 연구를 통해 도시 뉴욕을 건축적, 도시적, 역사적, 미학적 관점에서 분석하고 건축과 도시 공간이 사람의 라이프와 밀접하게 관련되는 현상에 대해 저술하였다. 우리의 일상에서 가장 자주 접하게 되는 문화, 주거, 상업, 교육 건축으로 챕터를 나누고 뉴욕의 건축과 건축가에 대해 분석하여 건축물과 건축, 도시 공간의 가치에 대해 재조명하였다.
